After meeting Shuna from Eggbeater [2] yesterday, I decided to add a long overdue recipe index [3] to this site. Over a dinner of pierogies and latkes at Veselka [4], we talked about how to increase traffic to our blogs. As a pastry chef, she’s meticulous. As a blogger, she’s no different!
Obviously, everyone comes here for the food. Most come for the chocolate-hazelnut butter recipe [5] (very similar to Nutella). One person even came after searching, “is Nutella good for you.” Another stumbled here after searching, “why does my steamed bun dimpled when i remove the cover of the steamer?” (sic) Sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Dimpled Bun. I don’t have an exact answer, but I’d guess the buns collapse after they lose heat. It’s the same reason why souffles fall and get wrinkly when you remove them from the oven.
