Frogurt Alert 2: Times Square

My favorite brand of plain frozen yogurt (not Pinkberry) has just arrived in Times Square! One month ago, A Zest Cafe started serving Frogurt, the ultra-smooth and refreshingly tangy treat. A small is $3.50, a large $4.50. It doesn’t get any better than this, unless you make your own.

Another landmark, Grand Central station, has Frogurt too, but not the plain flavor. Also, watch out for the warm machines, which makes the yogurt melt quickly. Maybe someone should ask them to calibrate their machines.

The cheapest place for Frogurt (only $2.50) is at Zabar’s Cafe, but it’s all the way on the Upper West Side, and they close at 7:00 P.M. While you’re there, you can also try the frozen custard, but never order the babka muffin, which wins the award for driest muffin.

Heya Jessica, great meeting you yesterday! The cookies were yummy… I can definitely get behind the idea of someone else baking and me getting to eat it 😉 (I’ll cook dinner… haha… I’m just not a baking kind of person) Anyway, hope to see you again at more food blogger events!

They have it at Duke Cafe, as well (41st & B’way) (pretty sure….)

Had it the other day, with strawberries. yum.

Ryan, Duke has Yolato. It’s better than Pinkberry, but I still prefer Frogurt.

Do not get anything from A Zest Cafe. I have seen a guy on more than one ocassion walking around with a fly swatter, swatting flies and not caring about where they land. Where is the owner when this is happening? Oh wait. it is the owner. The staff is nasty, takes 20 mins of your half hour lunch break to get slice of pizza or a burger. Plus I had officially stopped eating here when I heard the staff behind the counter bad mouthing customers right in front of that costumer!! Telling her not to be so cheap. Mean while it’s 7.00 for a slice of pizza that just is not all that great.. She has every right to be cheap. Because this places food is just as crappy as their attitudes…
